Lifecycle Events

Baby Namings

Celebrating births is one of the most joyous things we can do. Rabbi Gordy works with you to customize a ceremony that will be most meaningful for you, your family and friends.

B’nai Mitzvah

Becoming B’nai mitzvah traditionally happens just after a child’s 13th birthday (sometimes younger for girls). It signifies attaining the age of responsibility for their moral behavior (sins) and allows them to participate more fully in the Jewish community, which is a cause for celebration. Let Rabbi Gordy help you create a memorable event!

Weddings

Celebrating love between two people is a favorite for Rabbi Gordy. He performs almost all marriages including inter-faith and same-sex. Saturday  ceremonies before sundown are also possible with certain conditions. Packages include pre-marital counseling, customized ceremony, and assistance with the ketubah (wedding contract).

Conversions

With conversions come many challenges – personal, intellectual, spiritual, familial, and communal. Rabbi Gordy will guide you through each during a minimum period of study.

Funerals

At times of loss, it can be very difficult to focus and make decisions. Rabbi Gordy will embrace your family with emotional support and conduct a meaningful service. He will also guide your family through Jewish traditions and rituals to help you make the best selections.
